DNN Professional
Version: 5.06.00

Document Exchange Pro
Version: 5.2.10

Storage Provider:
Amazon S3 Storage Provider (created bucket and test ok)

I can create folders, but when I try to add a file within the folder, I choose the file to upload and click the Next link and the page just refreshes and gives the error:

You must upload a file

This error appears in red at the bottom. The file upload reverts back to the empty/choose a file state.

Nevermind I think I fixed this.

BUT after upload file it will not show up until I run Repair Structure This script will attempt to repair any errors in the DMX structure in the current portal.

The issue in the original post was in Chrome, however, I just tested in Firefox and got the following javascript popup alert upon clicking next:

RadUpload Ajax callback error. Source url returned invalid content:

404 Not Found
The requested Url (http://intranet.indexx.co...Stamp=1294585292766) does not return any valid content.

http://intranet.indexx.co...75-8c9c-6685fd8845d7

Did you register the RadUploadProgressHandler in web.config?

Please, see the help for more details: RadUpload 2.x - Using RadUpload - Configuration - RadUploadProgressHandler.

Still having same issue after updating to the latest version of DMX Pro (5.3.5). I've tried updating to use the CA upload, but it still gives the error message even after verifying that the RAD Upload is turned off and the CA upload is turned on. Also, the look of the upload page/controls does not change either when switching from RAD to CA.

The error message went away after appending the following to the exclusion list for URL Master, but I still have them symptoms in the original post. When I click next after selecting a file, it just gives me the red text "You must upload a file". Still impossible to add a file.

Ok, last post for a while, until I get some sort of response...

After disabling both RAD and CA, it will upload the file, but I get the error message pop-up (same as I posted above). I've only tested in Chrome and Firefox. I don't get the pop up error in Chrome, but I do in Firefox.

Hi Jordan,

Sorry for late response. Life grinds to a standstill here over the last two weeks as everyone takes their xmas/ny break.

iFinity URL master can prevent other modules from functioning properly as you discovered. Try disabling url master first (note you must have the RAD enabled in DMX for the RadUpload to work with a progress bar). Then if DMX works normally you have proof it is related to url master. Please alert iFinity about this if this is the case. I'll be happy to help out but I'm not fully aware of what url master is doing to the server requests.

Best,

Peter

I've turned off iFinity and turned on the RAD upload in DMX (CA off). I still get the this error:

RadUpload Ajax callback error. Source url returned invalid content:

What's more interesting is that once I got a 500 server error from neat upload (same config) object not set to an instance of an object. That's with RAD turned on. I'm wondering if neat upload is intercepting it for some reason... I do remember having to change the order that the http modules were in inside web.config in order to get the upload to work correctly for Ultra Video Gallery as it depends on neat upload.

However, almost as interesting is that even with RAD and CA both turned off (iFinity still off) I get the following error:

Just for giggles, with RAD off and CA on (iFinity still Off) I get the following error:

[CODE]RadUpload Ajax callback error. Source url returned invalid content: 404 Not Found
The requested Url (http://intranet.indexx.co...Stamp=1294955772372) does not return any valid content. http://intranet.indexx.co...e7-8a59-3fcaf718cee8 Did you register the RadUploadProgressHandler in web.config? Any additional thoughts?

Neatupload also clashes with this, indeed. In fact any 3rd party component that has http modules/handlers is a potential clash. That is the nature of this unfortunately.

Note you must go to the Upload Settings page to change the uploader as well as make adjustments to the web.config for these things to work (regarding last comment of your post).

I feel stupid now... I missed completely the Upload Settings page. The CA upload doesn't work with that (I'm guessing due to the neat upload maybe) but turning both off in Web.Config and setting the upload handler to ASP.net in the Upload Settings page allows us to upload without any errors.

I don't get a progress bar or anything like that of course, but that's acceptable for the time being. Thank you for your help. I consider this issue resolved, but I'll keep tinkering and see if I can't figure out a way to work around the others and get one of them to work whenever I have more free time.

Cheers!
