E-mails not triggered

Is it possible that the change we made as suggested in the following forum caused our e-mails not triggered.  We setup a trigger to send out an e-mail when an insert is made to DMX_Entries.

By the way, we're using DMX 3.5.6 and DNN 4.9. The other problem too is that we can't add new categories anymore.

I added a row in the DMX_Categories using SQL (instead of going your route via Settings/Options/Service/Categories) then entered an item with this category and that's when I observed that the trigger (to send out e-mail) wasn't working.

Hi Annabelle,

So you're on DMX 3 (3 years old module), you created a trigger on one of the tables in SQL, and now you're asking me why that doesn't fire? How can I answer that? I'm not sure how I can help here.

Note DMX 3 is no longer supported and that if you tweak the data model I really can't support it.
