This is just a general question. The area that administors the document section have asked me if I could find a solution for document numbering. The scenario is this when we they used our old system documents were registered (used a centrat registar) under a document number i.e FHR_1 F for form HR for Human Resources and sequential number. Using DMX we no have several areas adding documents and is not possible to run a single seperate registar for numbers. I have added a custom attribute (number as string) but it is not possible to sort with this custom attribute (error displayed). Is it possible to have number automatically assigned? or does anybody have any other solutions for similar scenarios? or would this be an enhancement that I would need to get developed? Peter, Technically this is possible, but it needs some coding of course so you would need to get it developed especially for you. Peter
