Can someone help me out of this fog I seem to have gotten myself into? I can't seem to get or understand how the approval process works. I have setup a site with a role called approver and assigned this to a user, this approver role is the role set as, approver. I had admin upload a document and it appears on teh site as approved???, shouldn't it be unapproved until the approver user approves it? Has anybody expanded the approval workflow beyond that which is described in the manuals and if you have can you contact me?

M, The admin is 'God' and doesn't need approval. Approvers are also assumed to auto-approve. All others will not have their submission visible until aproved. Note that from DMX 3.4+ the bahvior is such that an unapproved 'newer' version of a document will show to approvers (and admins) but for others the older version is shown. Editors can still get at the latest version though and edit this. Kind regards, Peter Donker, B2M

Thanks, I out of the fog. Another question on approval; Is there a way to have different approvers for different collections? and, is there a way when an approver logs in to see all the documents awaiting approval?

About Bring2mind

Bring2mind is the company of Peter Donker, a DotNetNuke enthusiast who has been involved with the platform from the very beginning.
