We have DMX setup right now just for Forms on our Intranet.  I would like to have other pages such as a Policies and Procedures or an Accounting Reports page where those types of documents would be viewable on there.  So for example, on the Forms page, only the forms loadeded in DMX would be viewable, on the Policies and Procedures page only those would be viewable and so on.  Is there some type of filter that can do something with or is there something we can do with collections to achieve this?

    Thanks much!

You definitely can do what you want using collections. The easiest way I have found is to first create a "DMX administrative" page and a DMX module that shows all collections. This is where you can create the top level collections like "Policies and Procedures" "Accounting Reports", etc. This also makes it easy to set view and edit permissions on those collections and modify things later.

Next, you add DMX to the different user pages, then under the options menu for a particular module, you can set the root collection for the module and name it however you want. Once that is done, users accessing that page will start at that collection as the "root". Additional collections can be created under these, of course.

    Hope that helps.

That worked great!  Thanks very much for the info.  I do have one other question.  When uploading stuff is there like a Browse button that I can use to upload files instead of having to type in a path?  With the path I haven't been able to figure out how to upload a single file, it always wants to upload everything in a given folder.

    Thanks!!

     ... puzzled ...

When you see the edit page there is a 'regular' asp.net file input consisting of a textbox with a 'browse...' button next to it. Click on the browse button to search for content on your pc and the result will be shown in the text box.

Peter, maybe i'm doing the import wrong as I don't see it.  I have open my page with the DMX module on it.  I go to Options and it brings up a page where you can put the root container and all that.  Then I click on the Import link under Maintenance and it brings me to the Mass Import Screen.  What exactly do you mean by the "edit screen"?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, i'm pretty new to this!   :)

    Thanks!!

    Jim,
Not quite sure how you intend to use this module but 'import' is for mass import of files from someplace. The regular input is when you click on the 'add item' button on your screen and this takes you to the regular 'edit screen'. If you don't see this button you don't have edit permissions to the collection you're in.
