    Hi Peter,
Some of our content editors are continuing to be confused by what a Collection is versus a Category. Is there anyway I can customize the interface to change the word "Collections" to be "Directories" and to change "Categories" to "Descriptive Categories"?

You can change it any way you like using the resource files. The essential difference is that a file can and has to be in only one collection, while it can be tagged with any number of categories. The latter is pretty much conform to industry standard terminology. The former can be confusing, I admit. It should be folder really.

Thanks. Sorry to be a pain, but where are these resource files? Are there multiple files that I need to edit to change each term?

I've explained the difference between a Collection and a Category to these people several times. I think what's throwing them off is the "collection" term. They just don't seem to get it. I just figured in the long run, it would behoove me change the terminology to something they would understand more easily.

    Dave,
Check out the dnn documentation about 'localization' and languages. You can use DNN to edit the resource files of dnn or one of the modules you installed. The files themselves (.resx) can be edited by hand or through DNN. DMX is fully localized so you'll find the texts in there.
