Hi
when viewing a list of entries for a category, I see all the colections folders at the top of the list. Is there anyway I can not show these or stick them at the end of the list?
Cheers

Hi, I got an e-mail from you (peter/this site) with a link to a new version of DMX (Bring2mind[1].DMX_03.04.10_NET2.zip), does this update address my issue? I am running dnn 3.3.7 on .net 1.1 so the file name suggests the version send is not compatible, can you please confirm?
Also, with update, can I install over an existing install with no detrimental effects to my existing setup?
Thanks

Hi T, 1. You cannot change the default sort order in DMX 03.04.10. I'm working on ncluding that for DMX 03.04.11 2. DMX 03.04.10_NET2 is for DNN 4. Please consider upgrading to DNN 4 as DNN 3 is a dead end. 3. Any DMX version automatically upgrades previous versions. Sorry for late replies. Busy busy busy. Peter

Hi T, .Net 1.1 releases will be few and far between as it fases out. Just like DNN the updates will largely depend on finding critical errors in the code. The new major version will make use of features not present in .Net 1.1 so it is not even an option there. Peter

hi, I paid for DMX and as a customer would expect the product to be supported with in my environment. I'm sure not the only one where the leading technology is not always the best route. I choose to stay with DotNetNuke 3 and.net 1.1 as it works, so what's the point in changing it?
I'd be very disappointed if a product that I paid money for suddenly becomes obsolete with no word of warning beyond a message in a forum.
I'd suspect it's not even a massive change to the current DotNetNuke 3/.net 1.1 build to exclude collections from results given when viewing categories, or possibly even to include it as an option?

It's not me that is ending DNN 3, it's the core team. They're only fixing now what needs to be fixed. My customer base is moving to DNN 4. You're asking to make a change specifically for you for a version that very few people use or install. I've never heard of a company that does that. I'm sure you feel very strongly about this enhancement and I'm more than willing to help out. But this goes beyond bugfixing IMO. Or do you see that differently? I mean: the product is not obsolete in DNN 3, it just doesn't benefit from enhancements made on the DNN 4 trail. Kind regards, Peter

Ok, I was a bit annoyed and I understand what your saying but many developers are still dev for DNN 3 and our environment wont be changing for a while yet. Can my change be implemented for DNN3 on Net 1.1?

I'll try and free up time for this. It is a very busy period as there are summer deadlines to meet. I hope to have this fixed by the end of the week. Peter

It will install straight over older versions. If you've brought through me you'll need to contact me directly by email.
