When someone subscribes to a folder, it is assumed that any new documents, folders and documents within the sub folders will be captured for notification alerts.  This is happening for documents and sub folders, but not for documents within a sub folder.

No, this is by design. I'll put this on a list of things to investigate to see if (1) it is sufficiently easy to implement without impacting performance, and (2) whether this won't annoy existing users.

Peter, any update on this front? I am hesitant to tell my users they need to go look in nested folders to maintain their subscriptions is you will be building this option in the near future. Thanks!

Ben, it won't be that fast. I cannot introduce chages to the code base this fast or I risk upsetting a lot of clients.

    Ben,
It would help if you could test the implementation. Can you send me an email at peter@bring2mind.net?

    Hi Peter,

Can you please elaborate on this issue. What is "by design"? I have always understood that if I subscribe to a folder, then I will be notified of all additions and changes within that folder as well as all changes and addtions to subfolders and their content. What's the real story?

    Hi Peter,

I haven't tested thoroughly, but your 03.05.00 update you just released apparently addresses this issue directly. Thank you.

Peter, I was under the impression that this was not fixed in 3.05 but was slated for a later release, can you confirm?

    Ben,
It's been done. I've included a new feature where an admin can specify whether to permutate the subscriptions. It's a checkbox under the options.

Confirmed, installed and tested, seems to be working! Thanks.
