Unable to delete categories

    Peter,

    We're having problems deleting a categories.  Is this because there are documents associated with them?  There's no error.  We tried to clear the cache also. 

    We're using version 3.5.5

    Select the category in the interface, then click the 'delete' link and it should vanish. Then update to commit changes. Does this not work? At what point does it fail?

    If all else fails you can delete manually from the DMX_Categories table, by the way. Old links will not influence this.

    this does not work.

    I select a category (regardless of parent or child).

    Then I click Delete

    The category tree disappears.

    I click "Save"

    Then I'm back to the Options screen.

    I go back to Categories... and everything is still there...

     

    I tried to clear the cache also.

    OK, just do it in SQL for now then. I'll look into this and see if I can find the cause and fix it for the next release.
