When I am logged in as host the Log is displayed in the details tab. That is fine and very important for us since we need to keep track of download statistics (which file how often and by whom).

Is there a way to sse log details also as Admins (not only as Host)? Or is there an alternative way to get download statistics for files within DMX 4?

Yes. Open DMX/Controls/Details.ascx in an editor. Look at the bottom where you see a couple of dmx:dmxpanel instances. These have a visibility setting, for the Log it is 'Admin'. This you could change to 'Edit' and anyone with edit rights should be able to see the log. Alternatively you can set it to 'False' (turn the contents off) or 'True' (always visible).

Peter I just intalled 4.02.03 today. In my case only the user who has been designated as the Administrator for the portal and the Host ID can view the log. Other users who are in Administrator role cannot view the log either. Once I made the changes as per your recommendation and changed it to anything other than Admin, even the Administrator cannot view the log. Can you please advise?

Thanks,
Chhavi

Here is an update. I changed the value to EDIT (all uppercase). Now it works for all users in Administrator role and users who have edit permissions to the folder/document, only if I navigate to a folder or document so that there is an EntryID in the URL. If I just clcik on the main tab and then browse the folders/documents and click on any one of them to view details, I do not see the Log section. Now if I right-click on any folder/document, select Navigate (so that there is an EntryID in the URL) and then clcik on any folder/document to view details, I do see the Log section. Peter, can you pkease confirm that this is how it is supposed to work? Most of the users may never clcik on Navigate, but they need to view the Log for that item.
Thanks,
Chhavi

Hi Chhavi,
This may well be a bug. I'll make a note of this and investigate.
