Hi Peter,

we have now upgraded to Version 04.02.01 and use this on DNN 4.8.1.

We have define in the Module-Settings the "Startup Screen" to Search.ascx and and click on Update

now we see no Collection and no Search.

We have also defined in a seond Step to set the "Startup Screen" the second Option bring2mind/dms/search.ascx

and click here also on update. Here we have the same Effect but when we go in the Module-Settings the "Startup Sreen"

is now set to Search.ascx and not more to bring2mind/dmx/search.ascx.

Have you any Idea whats wrong here?

Thank You

Hi Guido,

In DMX 3 this was used to show just a search screen. In DMX 4 the search 'panel' is in the same screen as the main screen. We kept the 'search.ascx' because that way we could still show search results to integrate with DNN search. The search panel itself has been deprecated from this view. Use the regular screen for this. Use the search.ascx view only on the Search Results page.

Hi Peter,

Hmmm, the Integration in the DNN-Search-Site is nice but the User can here not define a SerchTerm for a specified Custom-Attributes.

We, missed the good old Search-Mask as Startup from DMX 3!!!!

But we cannot have all!!!

Thank You

Guido

Hi Guido,
We can have all if we build it. Rome was not built in a day. I'm sure something like this will come back in the future. The old screen was replaced by the overlay we have now in the main UI. I can imagine we have the old screen back in some future version. It's not rocket science, but I want to avoid having 3 million controls (the Catalook Store problem). I want to keep the module as lean as I can.
