Prior to purchasing DMX4 for a client we would like to check that it will work on thier DNN install (4.8.2) and thier host EasyCGI.

Is it possible to install the Demo on the easycgi server for a couple of weeks to check the operation?

TIA

Antony

Hi Antony,

I cannot speak for every server config out there. If you can upload a module, you should be able to run DMX. The demo allows trial activation for 30 days. Check out the installation manual downloadable here, please.

Anthony, I would be interested to know how your testing on EasyCGI goes, can you please post back here. I am particularly interested to know if you get contents searching on PDF files working on shared hosting.

I am currently trying to use DMX 4 on Enterhost, it's all working except for the contents searching.

Peter, perhaps you could add a Hosting forum where we could post our results regarding success or otherwise using DMX on various hosting providers.

If it's any help: I partner with PowerDNN so if you use them you should be fine.

@Sean: I hesitate to add another forum. I hope to categorize stuff one day so this can be retrieved easier. If more posts arrive on hosting I might still add a dedicated forum.

Mr. Donker

The tech I talked to about WebDAV support said he had never heard of you or DMX.

Please clarify what is going on.

Dear James,

I'm not sure what you need clarification on. Can you be more specific?
