Categories not saving in DMX 3.5.5

    I just upgraded to DMX 3.5.5 and have noticed that the categories are not getting saved when I upload a new file.  I have verified that it is working in DMX 3.5.2?  Peter can you please verify whether this bug was introduced in version 3.5.5 and provide a fix for it ASAP?

    I had reported this to Peter, I believe he has fixed in 3.5.6, which is available now.

    Hi Peter,
     
    I installed the DMX 3.5.6 patch today and the Categories assignment appears to still be broken. We are running it on DNN 4.8.2.
     
    Please let me know if we can be of any assistance in diagnosing/fixing this issue.

    I can't replicate. I'm on a plain vanilla DNN 4.8.2 and DMX 3.5.6.

    Think I ought to un/reinstall? I have a lot of documents and categories; what are the implications for DMX_Entries and DMX_Categories? Just back them up and copy them back in after the reinstall?

    Jack,

    Don't ever uninstall. Please. It removes all the data. If you reinstall the current ZIP then DNN makes sure all files are copied in place again. It is the best way if you're unsure whether all files have been properly replaced.

    PS does your activation screen work? There is some Ajax stuff happening on it and if it doesn't work then maybe there is an Ajax issue with your installation that also impedes the categories selection.
