Unable to view files when double clicking them - DMX4.2.2 and DNN4.8.2

Peter, When I double-click to open a word document, or ppt, or excel file from the list, I receive the following error: "Internet Explorer cannot download Download.aspx from www.XXXXXXX.com. Internet Explorer was not able to open this site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." I have tried several options like disabling compression overall, added "desktopmodules/bring2mind/dmx/download.aspx" in the compression excluded paths, and still did not work. I am able to open a .pdf file and jpg file though. Do you have any idea why is this? Hope to hear form you soon! Ryan

Hi Ryan, This is a known issue. We're working on resolving this. In the meantime use right click and 'download'. Peter

I see that this is a known issue but has anyone been able to find a work around? Waiting until the next release could be deterimental as re-educating users to use another method often fails miserably.

OK, I have located the problem and found a fix. The bad news is that it requires code changes which means a new release. So I can't give you a workaround. It has to be updated. I hope to have this released within a week. Peter
