We are able to open a document that has already been approved without a problem.  However when a user double clicks on a document in the Non-approved Items list a window opens that says:

Module Load Warning
One or more of the modules on this page did not load. This may be temporary. Please refresh the page (click F5 in most browsers). If the problem persists, please let the Site Administrator know.

I looked in the Event Viewer and this is the error information that shows up:

AssemblyVersion

My users need to be able to open a document to review it before it is approved.

Thanks,

Heather

Hi Heather,

Can I confirm that this happens to users that have approval permissions on the document? Or to those that have edit but not approval permissions?

Hi Peter,

I have several users that are members of the Administrators and the Managers group.  Both of these groups have Edit/Approval permissions on the document in Non-Approved items however when they double click the file they get the error described below.

However the portal admin can open these files without a problem.

Thanks,

Heather

Hi Heather,

Sorry for the delay. I cannot seem to replicate this. I use DMX 04.02.03 and have a folder with the following permission set:

Add: Administrators, Editors
Edit: Administrators
View: All Users, Administrators
Approve: Approvers

I log in as editor and add a document. I log in as approver and I can download the item that I now find under 'Unapproved items'. I later approve it, log back in as editor and create a new version. Log back in as approver, go to unapproved items, where it is again, and I can download (double click, right click, or menu).

Which version of DNN/DMX are you running?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for responding.

I have a group called Managers, one member of this group is responsible for adding the documents and then another member is responsible for approving the documents.

We are currently using version 4.00.06, I will upgrade to the latest version and see if that will help.  We are also starting to see problems with trying to view the attibutes on a file, we get the same error that I have already listed.

Thanks,
Heather

Peter,

I have upgraded to the most recent version and so far that seems to have fixed the problem. I am going to put a couple of users on it today to see if they can break it. I'll keep you updated.

Thanks,
Heather

Hi Heather,

That makes a lot of sense. Keep me posted.
