I can open all documents within docexch4 except for pdf's when using ie6.  When I use firefox  and or ie7 I can open the pdf's. My docexchange is for public consumption so I need it to work with ie6. Any ideas. The problem is consistent with all of my machines. Windows 2000 and xp with ie6 work the same.

Ok I had to install net 2.0 on the windows 2000 machine, since it is optional on it. I also instal the service pack for net 2.0. Now I can download and save a pdf but I still cannot view one. The error says that the path cannot be found.

Hi Sherry,
If you try to download and save to a particular place and open does it work? If so then there is an issue with the temporary folder that IE is using to download to before opening.

It would be interesting to find out if someone else with IE6 has the same issue. I would assume so since I have such a large pool that I have tested from. Although IE6 is an old browser it still makes up 27% of the browsers being used. If this issue cannot be resolved then I cannot use this product, unfortunately.

also as I replied earlier I can open pdf''s anywhere else on the web with ie6 including the same web site just not though docexchange. So the problem lies with how docexhange iteracts with ie6 and the temp folder. Is there any pssability for a remedy?

I am going to assume that this is a dead issue, since I have recieved no response.

Sherry,
The webserver does not decide where the client saves the file for opening. In short: it is not something I can solve for you. You're going to have to configure your clients/Acrobat client properly.
