Hi Peter, I have just upgraded to 4.03.01 and folder (content) subscription is working now, but I have a few issues.

1) Despite placing a Key in the Notifications matrix for 'Delete', I do not receive an email for that event.

2) I have also been getting between 1 and up to 4, identical emails notifying me of 1 event. I will continue testing to see if there is some kind of pattern.

3) Why are most of the emails still arriving seperately?, I have only had 1 so far that contained 2 (identical!) messages combined into one email.

Is their some way I can change the frequency of the notifications, so I don't have to wait the 15 mins or so to see how the engine behaves?

...and some good news!, Webdav is working perfectly now.

best regards,

simon

Hi Simon,

04.03.00 was an overhaul of the notification engine. I will continue to make improvements to this and one of the things I plan is that users can specify the frequency of notifications. It has been implemented inside the inner workings of the module, but there is no way yet to edit this. There is a default portal setting that is being used in the meantime. This is 30 minutes. So a user should not receive emails more than once every 30 minutes.

OK, so this is intended behavior. Now let's examine your findings. Can you tell me if a user receives a notification over and over again in different emails? Or is it just that he/she gets a notification in a single email 4 times every time around?

O, there is a way to test the engine. Use the button on the main screen of DMX when viewing in Edit mode or go to Host > Schedule, go to the scheduled task for this, click the edit icon, and click update. That will spark that scheduled task to run.

Just added a doc, and received 4 seperate identical emails each containing 2 'aggregated' identical notifications of the same event - hope that makes sense!

Dont know if its relevant, but that last document was added by pasting the doc using webdav directly into the folder opened in IE. The previous additions were done using the usual 'New item' method.

Simon resolved this issue yesterday. Turned out he had mutliple identical scheduled tasks (Host > Scheduled Tasks) defined for DMX. They all ran at the same time.
