Hi Peter,

I was wondering if there are any 'tweeks' that can be done to speed up the response time of DMX ie. changing directory, searching etc. Our IT guy claims the Network is not responsible, but I don't think thats entirely true.

Any thoughts, Peter ... or anyone!

thanks,

simon

Hi Simon,

I don't have many performance issues with the module myself, but much also depends on DNN. I do a lot of caching, so the more memory you have probably the faster it'll get. In the near future there will also be an optional fully templateable interface with just plain old HTML (so no Ajax UI). This will be useful for heavily used front-ends where users do not need all the features of the module.

Hi Peter, when you say 'you do a lot of caching' or you talking about something on the server within DNN or just general client side browser operation?

best regards,

simon

Hi Simon,

On the server. I use DNN's DataCache extensively to improve performance for the user.
