I could not find any documentation on who gets included in the various notification groups (CORE_APPROVE, CORE_APPROVER_APPROVE, CORE_EDITOR_APPROVE, etc.).  Right now, if someone uploads a document, everyone gets a message to approve, even if they don't have rights to do that.  I can't find anyplace to set a specific role for approvers or individuals other than the auditor.  It's driving people nuts, yet I don't want to turn off all notifications.

The notifications are set to the default settings since I have not understood the existing documentation that well and cannot find definitions as to who is the various groups.

Could you provide more information on this and how I can set this up so only a specific role or persons I designate get approval notifications.

Other than that, others should only get e-mail notifications on specific documents they have uploaded or explicitly subscribed to.

Thanks, Peter!

Hi Steven,

This looks like something is wrong. If you can show me the installation (contact through peter@bring2mind.net), I'll gladly take a look. Approval notifications should only be sent to those in the approval role for that item.

I'll make a note of your comments and see if the UI for notifications can be made clearer. The CORE_APPROVE etc you mention are 'keys' that point to the email text in the resource files. The resource files are the resx files in your installation that hold all the texts of an application and permit live swapping so that users from another language see texts in their language.
