I just installed this DMX_04.02.0 desktoip module.  If you right click and select 'Download File", it works fine and displays the file.  If you double click on the file, I get a "Internet Explorer cannot download Download.aspx from localhost.  Internet Exploer was not able to open this Internet Site.  The Requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.  Please try agian later."

What''s the deal?

Hi Brad,

Can you use a more recent version of DMX like 04.03.02 or 05.00.00 maybe? Let me know if the problem persists.

I did install the latest 5.0 version and it did fix the double-click problem. However now I have two new problems:


Problem 1: JavaScript error: "Grid1" is null or not an object when I try to double-click any folders in the right pane. If I click on the folders in the left pane, it works fine.

Problem 2: JavaScript error: "Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus" when the page containing the DMX desktop module first loads. After it loads, things seem to work fine with the exception of Problem #1.

Hi Brad,

Problem 1 doesn't sound familiar. I'll try to reproduce. Problem 2 is known and an Ajax timing issue. It does not however impact the functionality of the module.

I am getting the same error:

A Runtime Error has occured.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 157
Error: 'Grid1' is null or not an object.

I get this every time I double-click on a folder name in the listing.  It does seem to be an AJAX timing issue - I see the error dialog box appear first and then see the display refresh immediately after.

Is there a fix for this yet?

Oh ... I should have mentioned: Latest release of DMX (5.0.3) IE 7
