Hi Peter,

I think you will likely be thinking "huh?" when you read this, but here goes.

The TemplateView is faster, simplified, customizable and visually is much more like the simpler DMX 3 view. However, DMX 3 still benefitted by use of the 'DMX Navigator" folder tree add-on when it made sense for a specific DMX instances.

So, are you thinking of making a DMX 5 version of "Navigator" for use with TemplateView? I think this combination would still maintain the simplification of TemplateView without the added menus and slower performance of the AJAX view.

Hi Rob,

I was thinking of this. There will be a new navigator in due course. I'd like to revamp it with a few more features.

Hi Peter,

we also have the need of a DMX 5 version of the "Navigator" from Version 3.x. I would really like to Update the old Verison to DMX 5, but without any solution for this I can´t. Do you see any other chance to build sth. like this with the template:

Hi Peter, i saw you released the Extensions for the new DMX Version. I have another little question about the Navigator. As you can see on the Screenshot above there was no "seperate" Root in the Tree . In the new Version there is one. Is there any chance to hide this and see only the Subfolders?

Hi Stephan,

I'll see about that. I'm not entirely sure.
