I'm coming across something interesting - I'm uploading a fairly large file - 11M, I already set the proper flags in the config.

When I check zip and use folder name, it uploads fine, but then I have two folders -

Main

   ZipFileName

         ZipFileName

Any idea why it's using the foldername twice?

If I leave the "use for folder name" unchecked, it doesn't upload it.  No error message, just doesn't upload it.

Hi Matthew,
Interesting. I'll make a note of this and try to replicate. I have no explanation for it.

Any luck replicating because I now have two folders for each zip file.  The docs aren't being dupl;icated, just the folder.  I'm using DNN v4.9

I couldn't understand why it wouldn't unzip the file without having the "use folder name" box checked.

Color me a dork. I didn't realize the zip files were folders with files in them.

Lol. OK, yes, the zip files themselves can be packed using folders. Sometimes they take the folder you zip as base folder inside the zip file, which reappears at the other end. I've also witnessed this and have scratched my head what the cause was.

Sorry for bringing up this old thread again. Do you have any updates on this issue? We are running version 5.0.3, (DNN 4.9.5), and we're not able to upload and unzip without checking "Use filename as folder". This means that we can't upload multiple documents to an existing folder, but will always have a top folder created for what we upload.

Hi Lars,

This never was an issue. Matthew had multiple subfolders in the zip file itself. When unzipping these reappear. If you also select 'use filename as folder' you get that subfolder as well. It's all in how you
zip the files you want to upload.

I'm not sure why you can't upload a zip without checking the 'use filename as folder'. Why not? What happens if you don't?
