Peter:

I am having a lot of problems uploading documents to a DMX site.

I have taken a speed test (speedtest.net)  and the upload test result I am getting is 182 kbps
I have modified the web.config file making larger the time out and file size upload as follows:

I am uploading a pdf document that is only 147. 7kb in size and it times out after 20 min.

What happens is that I get a 31% advnace in the graph and stops there.

It says:
31% uploaded (46.13kb) Total 147.77 kB

Time passed: 0:20:8s Estimated Time 0:44:49s Speed: 39.09 bytes/s. (It started at 520kb and went continually down until it stoped at 39.09

We are about to release this new portal but my client is not able to load his clients documents and make them availble.

Please suggest what to do because my client is very nervous that his investment is not working as expected.
Thank you

Hi Jose,

The upload speed does not depend on the module. There's nothing I can do about that. The speed is controller by IIS and asp.net itself. Have you tried switching the upload provider (Main Options)? I doubt it will make much of a difference, but less code runs if you choose aspnet provider. Let me know how it goes.

We had exactly the same uploading issue with the Telerik control (default) and when we switched to the AspnetUpload control it worked fine. I liked the progress bar, but oh well...

Admin -> Main options -> Upload Control
