Remarks as HTML not showing.

Just installed DMX and am working my thruogh it's many features. I have struck on problem that I cannot see an immediate solution to. I have turned on "Remarks as HTML" in the main options. However, when i enter a remark using the Rich Text Editor, it shows as plain text in the item. For example, if I make a folder, and add the following remark "This is a test folder", what I see when I click on the folder is"This is a test folder". This happens in both the default view and the template view. Is there anyting I have missed in the setup? Any advice on how to fix this? I am using DNN 4.9.0, and DMX 5.00.04.
