Scenario:
We have a folder (X) and 2 user.
User A can view/write on Folder X but can't approve.
A supervisor user (B) con view/write the folder X and can approve documents.
User A upload a document on folder X. User is the owner of entry, that he can see the document on the folder X (in blue)
User B doesn't see the document on the folder X, but he see the entry only on "My unapproved items" special view.
Another user can't see anything until the document is approved.

User B can download the document, but he can't navigate from webdav to the item. From DNN he can't open directlly in word or excel.

When user B approve the document, he can navigate to document using webdav normally.

Why the user B don't see the document on the folder X the user A?
I think, user B, as the approver user have to view the document on the folder and navigate to them using webdav.

Hi Diego,

Yes. There are a couple of discrepancies between WebDAV and the web UI. It should be possible to show to user B though, I agree. I'll make a note of this.

Since the lastest builds WEBDAV module become very stabily module.
Our suggestion starts from our customer exprerience, and we think its can improve DMX, and help you to build day by day a very complete documental system for DNN.

Now, we have more than 2000 files on DMX!

I finally got round do doing some in-depth research on this issue. Turns out it's not that easy. A while ago, the choice was made to concentrate non-approved stuff in it's own 'folder'. In part this also made the 'GetCollectionContents' calls easier. The latter are the most frequent calls in the module and are made when you request the contents of a folder. Any change to the behavior will therefore impact many parts of the module and extensions as well. For now I'm not going that route. I'll pick this up again later.

On another note: although someone with approve rights could see an item through WebDAV there is still the issue that despite being able to edit it through WebDAV he/she cannot approve it through WebDAV (e.g. there's no button in Word for that). It would need a trip to the web UI in any case.
