Is it possible to have a "Zip and Download" function in th tmeplate view?

I have been through the documentation and not found any reference to this.  Am I missing something?

Hi Darren,

There is no 'multi-select' like in the Ajax UI which is why it was not added.

Are there any plans to add this feature to template view in future versions.

I ask this as it is a very useful feature when a user wants to download many files.  But rather than a multi-select followed by clicking Zip and Download, have a feature to add it to a "Cart" or "Queue".

I used a couple of document exchanges for some of our larger clients, and they all have this feature.  It is very useful when I have to download many files from many different areas.  Downloading a file at a time, or a coupe of files at a time does seem a little cumbersome.

Just my opinion, but I feel a feature like this in the Template view would greatly enhance DMX.

Hi Steve,

One of the design philosophies of DMX is to try to keep it simple and 'intuitive' and cater for specific needs in addons. If something is really in high demand or fits with the core module 'intuitively' it will be implemented in the core. If not, then it is for an addon. This case seems more of the latter. If you really need it then we can always discuss making it for you (at a cost, naturally), but I can't see it going into the core dev track any time soon.
