On our websites, we have a few virtual directories that access a network share for storing documents. When I applied the wildcard mapping in IIS, it prevented those files from being accessed. It brings up a web.config error message. What are the exact reasons for adding that handler, and is there another way I can be more specific about the settings?

Thanks for the help!

Hi Eric,

The wildcard is only important for Vista support. If you don't need Vista clients to access WebDAV, then feel free to remove it again.

Unfortunately there is no workaround. The Vista client (i.e. made by MS) makes a call to '/'. There is no way I can route this to DNN without adding the wildcard.
