How can I Import network Drive or Network Folders, shared on other computer, and how import getting permission on folders?

The worker process identity (default is NETWORK SERVICE) needs read access. But NETWORK SERVICE is a local machine account and will not be recognized by another machine. So if you want to import from a network share you need to use an identity that is managed by a domain controller. This issue seems to be addressed in multiple places and I still don't get it.

Can you explain perhaps in a different way? What account and privleges would you use if you had two different machines on the same domain? For instance server A is the server with the DNN Site (and DExch module) and Server B is the server that has all the folders and files are located on.

In my case I don't want to import anything I just want to use DExch to manage the files. Did I read in an earlier post that DExch can only manage files that are stored within DExch environment? I am still confused on how it works with UNC file storage. I can change the location of my folders and files.
