Hey Peter,

We recently updated our (trial) version of DMX 5, and it appears that I cannot reorder the global attributes.  When I am in the "edit global attributes" page, I can reorder the attributes by using the up/down arrow buttons.  But when I actually upload a new file or edit an existing file, the global attributes show up in the order which I added them.

I haven't tried this with local attributes, I will do that now and update my thread.

Glenn

**UPDATE**

This issue pertains to the local attributes as well.

**UPDATE**

After attempting to re-create the bug in DMX, the system crashed and I am unable to access my files.

Hi Glenn,

I'll make a note of the ordering issue. It could be a bug.

Your second bug sounds more serious. Have you been able to revive your system? If not contact me by email and we'll see what we can do to help.

Hi Peter,

I believe Mark Silvester has already emailed you (I am cc'd) regarding this issue. We are working together and have not been able to revive the system yet. A second portal has been created temporarily. If you failed to receive the original email, I can re-send it. It was sent to peter@bring2mind.net.

Thanks

Glenn

OK Glenn, then that's fine. Yes, I'm in contact with Mark and we're working the problem.

Hi Peter,

It says the bug has been resolved in 05.01.01, any idea when we will be able to download this update? I would like to have it before I begin to start populating my database with more files. Thanks

Hi Glenn,
Looks like it will be out this week or next.

Hi Peter,

I would like to revive this thread. With the new update, the attributes will now re-order themselves accordingly, but will not re-order themselves in the search window drop-down menu or in the displayed metadata for each file.

I haven't tried this for local attributes yet, but I know the problem exists with global attributes. Thanks

Hi Glenn,

Good point again. The attributes will receive some more attention in the next revision.
