I'm trying to figure out why people are allowed to subscribe to folders.

I was hoping it was that if I uploaded a new doc to that folder, they'd get a notification.  That doesn't seem to be working, or maybe I'm not doing something right.  They can't subscribe to categories, so that kind of kills it too.

We want to be able to set up groups in AD that people belong to and are able to upload into specific folders.  A legal secretary needs to be able to upload a new doc or a new version of a doc, but we don't want her to be able to pick the approval group.  If possbile, we'd like her to only be able to see the legal folder, and when she puts in a new doc, automatically tell the legal approval group that a new doc has been loaded to the legal folder.
