I really need some help.

I have DMX 5 installed into DNN 5.1.3 (succesfully-ish). Everything works however DMX is really slow. None of the controls work quite as they should - eg no progress bar when loading files.

WebDAV does not work correctly.

I have posted about this before and I am using IIS7 running on Windows Server 2008 with SQL Server 2005.

I am hapy to provide any access to my server in order to fix this - but this is now threatening my intranet portal strategy where DNN & DMX are a key part of this.

Please respond as I only find dead ends in these forums with people asking the same questions with similar issues.

Regards

Hi there Peter,

I'm trying to contact you but it seems there are problems with you email. I keep receiving undeliverable message.
Any way, my versions are DNN 5.1.4 with SQL Express 2005 SP2 and DMX 5.1.3.

Best,

-Johnny

Hi Simon,

Please recheck the email address. I have not had an email outage, so there must be something wrong with the address (note it's .net not .com). I need to look at the system to say anything meaningful about WebDAV. Check also the blog post on this site (under Company > News) about debugging WebDAV using fiddler.

Thanks,
Peter

Peter

I am very confused - The posting before was from Jonny - This is not me and I dont know anything about this.

I could do with some help understanding the 'Telerik' control(s) and it's registration in web.config as a number of products now seem to use this, including bring2mind DMX and I understand that dotnetnuke itself is using this control from version 5.2 forward.

Currently all references to telerik are commented out as they do not work and it is proving difficult to figure out exactly why and if they are conflicting with each other.

Thanks

Simon

Sorry to confuse you Simon. It was indeed meant for Johnny. It's a little confusing how he jumped into the thread like it was him that wrote the first post. I hope he reads the reply anyway.

About Telerik: we're still looking at how it impacts DMX in the long run. In the short term there is no real threat as one can always switch the DMX upload provider to the asp.net provider if there are any Telerik conflicts. In the long run I'm looking at whether to (1) keep the control as it is, (2) use the core Telerik Upload, or (3) move away to something different.

Sorry for that Peter and Simon at first I thought it was my thread since it had almost the same title. My bad for the confusion. Still I resolved the problem of the webdev.
