PDF download problem (size 2.84 mb)

Good day everyone, I'm having the following problem in Document Exchange Professional 05.01.03 Issue 1) PDF with images (2.84 mb) upload= succesful, but download attempt by clicking on the download button gives error "Insufficient data for an image" in IE 8 Issue 2) Also when I right click the download button and choose to "save target as", the PDF will be downloaded, but when I open the downloaded PDF, it gives me the following error: "Acrobat could not open 'myfile.pdf'because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachement and wasn't correctly decoded). To creat an Adbe PDF document, go to the source application. then print the document to PDF." But I can't print the document, because of Issue 1. See attachement for the PDF file that Im using. Hi John, I couldn't replicate it. I uploaded it here in a DMX 5.1.3 and then downloaded it again to disk and opened it without a problem. Are you having this issue with all your pdfs? Peter

Hi Peter, Thanks for helping out. On which version of DNN have you tested DMX 5.1.3? I'm using DNN 04.09.04.

[follow up] Sorry for the double post. No, I'm not having this issue on all PDF's.

Hi John, It looks like it's related to this specific upload. DMX is pretty dumb when it comes to files. It just streams the bytes to disk and streams them back to you when you ask for it. It does check the length of the file upon upload, stores that value, and uses that during download. So if a file was changed directly on the server that might break the download. Similarly, it might break if the upload somehow was interrupted. Peter
