Hi Peter,

I wanted to try your DMX however it crashed my site.  The installation seemed to go just fine but when I went to my site I get this error.

Server Error in '/' Application.

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

I restored my website from the back up and all is well again.  I am using Dotnetnuke 5.02

Any idea what went wrong?

THanks

PEter

Hi Peter,

No idea. The error message is unfortunately not very verbose, so I have little to go on here. It could be a number of things. My first thought is that the module failed to install completely or somehow failed to install the dlls to the bin directory.

Hi Peter,

Here are the dlls that were installed in the bin

Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.Core.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.DNNLoggingProvider.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.DNNNotificationProvider.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.FileStorageProvider.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.IndexingServiceSearchProvider.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.ISRemoteSqlSearchProvider.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.LuceneSearchProvider.dll
Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.WebDAV.dll
Bring2mind.Lucene.Net.dll
Bring2mind.Telerik.Lock.dll
Bring2mind.Telerik.RadUpload.Net2.dll

I checked things that you suggest we check in the installation document and all seems well.

Peter

Hi Peter,

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the dlls in the bin directory. It sounds more like a web.config error. Try taking out all lines from the web.config that have the word Bring2mind in them.
