Peter,

We were currently running version 5.1 of the DMX module and I upgraded to version 5.2 today. After doing so, I wanted to check out the various storage provider settings. I accessed the Storage Settings and I was unable to see any UI for changing the settings for the Disk File Storage Provider.

I had read the announcement of the release and noticed that the screen shots indicate there is a UI for entering the default repository location and other related settings. When I select the Disk File Storage Provider in the drop down list my only options are to update or cancel. If I select the Amazon S3 provider, I am presented with a UI for entering those settings.

Am I missing something? Did I forget a setting somewhere?

Thanks,

Kevin

Additionally, I cannot get SQL or S3 storage to work. The files seem to go right to their old location in the file storage.

Kevin,

Can you send me the screenshot by email? I can't see it here.

Brandon,

So the setting doesn't stick? Have you tried restarting the application and have you verified that the file portals/[id]/dmx.config is writeable for the worker process and has indeed been changed?

Peter,

Looks good in the DMX.config file. The S3StorageProvider is there with all information. But when I upload a doc it WAS not working. Now it seems to be working. So maybe there has been an IISRESET since I first did this. Let me try the move script now. Sincie it is going to the cload it makes me nervious but I trust you.

Thanks for your help Peter.

For anyone else that might encounter this: there were some extra DLLs in the bin folder that were not deleted when the module was upgraded.

Peter had me delete the following DLLs:

bin\Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.LuceneSearchProvider.dll

bin\Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.ISRemoteSqlSearchProvider.dll

bin\Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.IndexingServiceSearchProvider.dll

bin\Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.FileStorageProvider.dll

bin\Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DNNNotificationProvider.dll

bin\Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DNNLogginProvider.dll

I didn't have this delete issue. Those files are not present and have been replaced with ones that have DMX in the name.
