I have a problem with a child portal that unless the users logs in with "Remember Me" clicked when they upload a document it logs them out and throws them to the login screen.  It also does not look like the upload is sucessful

Hi Bill,

It sounds like one of the background calls is being interpreted as going to the wrong portal. Can you switch the upload provider to aspnet provider (Main Options screen) and see if this persists?

Is there anything else I need to do to use the aspnet provider? Now I get "You must upload a file" when I click next but the file disappears from the path textbox.

The "You must upload a file" just started happening to me today.  It is only occuring on some existing folders, but not all.  If I create a new folder and upload a file to it, it works just fine.

Also when I see the message, "You must upload a file", the controls for Folder, File, Hyperlink are duplicated.

Alright I figured it out.

Last night I changed the default portal alias from something.whatever to www.something.whatever in the Dotnetnuke Portal Alias settings.

I found a setting in the Main Options Menu of DMX and set it to the new default portal alias and that fixed the problem.

Hopefully that helps you out.

Stuart Thanks for the input but it did not work.  I think that it maybe a problem with roles because if I let a user log on as me they can upload.  I'm also having a problem with the roles (see my error thread) because I create a new role after I created the folder to limit rights and now I can't change the privileges of that folder.

Here is my solution but it is not a fix. I had to add users to the parent portal with the same information that is in the child. This needs to be fixed and is mission critical

I've found the issue and resolved it. It will be part of the 5.2.2 release out any moment now.
