Hello Peter and others,

How do types in colon-delimited lists work in the custom attributes settings ?

Can I use that to have global custom attributes for folders, but not for files ?

Thanks for any pointer and examples.

Benoit

Hi Benoit,

Yes. Check out the DMX_Extensions table in SQL. Specifically the column 'ExtensionKey'. It will give you an idea of the kind of types you can specify in this place.

Thank you Peter. This is very clear in the documentation, sorry to ask. By the way, do you have demands for notification based on the metadata of the document (typically its title), rather than its type ?

I've made a demo this morning to people who get used to other ECMs, and they liked DMX very much

Hi Benoit,

Regarding more fine tuned rules in notifications: I plan to wait until DNN choses a workflow solution before I make a move on this. Probably it will become much easier then. For now it's based on type/action.
