 hello,

i have an dmx 5.2.2 installation and the DMX root folder including the sub folders has more than 1 gig dataspace. there are a lot of non usesd files but i have no idea which files there are already used at dmx and which files i can delete.

what can i do?

Hi Michael,

Any hard deleted file actually gets moved to the Graveyard (DMX\Graveyard). So you can safely remove that folder. All other files are actually in DMX. If you want to remove anything then you have to go through your DMX to see what can be deleted. Anything more 'intelligent' would need a bit of custom code. Like for instance: delete all fiels older than XYZ and that are old versions for instance. This type of selecting is not inbuilt.

Note that if you suspect that there are files that are not in DMX but still on disk you could create an app to find out by comparing the values in DMX_Entries Entry column with what's on disk.
