I am currently evaluating your DMX Doc exchange.

I am trying to get the search results to work properly.
I added the DMX module to the search results page.
I changed to Search.aspx as per an entry in the forum.

All is good so far

I can even get a good search results list to appear showing documents I am authorized to.

However the link to the document is wrong.
It is somewhat my fault.
I added a DMX module to tabid 93 and synced folders to create the documents and index
Then I deleted the module and the page.
I then recreated the page and added DMX module again and set everything back up.

Now all the URLs for the documents use the old TABID that does not exist.
I then kept messing around trying to get every reindex to tabid 97 and now the tabid is 0

I am also confused about the URL to open the found document. I notice that the diskette icon is what I should click to open the document.
Why can I not click the Document Title to open the document.  This URL attempts to take me to the DMX admin module
Where the diskette icon has more querystring componest to open the document.

So I have two issues..
1)    How do I get my documents reindexed to use tabid 97 and not 0
2)    How do I get the title of the document to be the proper URL to open the document.
thanks

Hi Michael,

Please go to DMX's Main Options screen and set the default DMX and click update.

For the second question: you can edit the search.ascx to change the url "shape" so it directly downloads documents. If you're comfortable changing ascxs check out that file and use the urls generated in DMX called "Show Direct Link" to see how the direct (ie. download) links look and change the ascx to use that url.
