I am experiencing an issue with notification settings.
It sends the notification to the person who needs to approve the submitted document, but when the person clicks the link, it does not show him the article to approve. It just takes him to a blank page.
Let me know how to fix this issue.
Thanks |

Hi Salar,
Have you saved the Main Options on DMX? It saves the Tab ID for the "default DMX" to use in notifications. If not saved then emails go out with a tab id of 0.

Hi Peter, I am having an issue with the default DMX tab. I had two tabs with the DMX on them but I want the default to be the other one. I have tried to make a change in the Options and then update, but it doesn't seem to change the default tab. I have even removed the DMX from the bad tab, but the notifications, still point to it. Is there a way I can manually adjust this in the database or config file or other procedure.
Also it appears that the administrators of the portal are being notified when folders are being added, I have unscubscribed them and they are down to just getting the document has been approved email, how do I control this. How do I know who is in what subscribe group or role ?
Thanks for this product, we really like the functionality of the system. We are just getting started, but I think it will work great for us.

I found the default DMX parameter and adjusted it and its working well now.
The only thing is the admins are being notified when I approve something, possibly because I am an administrator. Is there a way to control this, should I logon to another user to approve, what are my options so that other admins are not notified when I approve something ? |

Hi Don,
The notification matrix shows slots for "Approvers", "Editors" etc. These slots signify that ALL that are in that permission regarding the document in question get the email. So unless you remove the "Approvers" upon the event Approve, then all approvers get the email.
Having said that note there are also a couple of slots for individuals. That includes "Self". This is the person "doing the action". So if you'd like only the person that approves to get a notification upon approval, then use that slot.

Hi Peter,
I have checked it again after referring your notes, but no luck. I think the problem may be it is in child portal, it does not redirect to correct approval page from email notification link.
Let me know how to fix this issue.
Thanks |

Hi Salar,
Looks like I'll need to have a look myself. I don't have enough info to narrow this down and I'm not sure where things are going wrong. Will continue by email ...
