I can't seem to find any instructions on how to install addons to the Document Exchange module.  I have installed the addons as a module in my DNN installation, but I can't seem to figure out how to get them to work with DMX.  They appear in my list of modules and I can add the addons to a page as a seperate module, but I was under the impression that they would somehow integrate with the DMX module as an "addon".  Can someone explain this to me or point me in the direction of some of documentation?

Sorry I accidentally hit submit twice for this post.  I can't find a way to delete one of these.

What addon are you trying to use? They should already be "integrated" with your DMX install, assuming you've installed the correct version of the addon. Just go to the module settings of your addon to make sure the options are set correctly. For instance, if you're using the FlexList module, just make sure it's pointed to the right folder (Collection) and is using the sort criteria you prefer. That's all there is to it.

Hi Brandon,

I've tried to be explicit about it in the extensions page on the Bring2mind site for each one. Some integrate into DMX and some don't. It really depends on the application. Some addons just create a different UI for DMX content (ShortList, Flexlist, Gallery etc). They are used as separate modules in a site but just interact with DMX content. Others are more isolated and manage their own content (Comments). There are extensions that were built for specific projects that add a background service for instance, or an extra menu item in the main UI. But those extensions were not generic enough in nature to feature them on the extensions page. All extensions share one thing which is that they leverage DMX and depend on it.
