It seems to me that the settings control for the Shortlist addon (and probably others) does not select the item in the list for 'Control to Load' which is currently set. I have added several controls for viewing that control functionality by User Roles. Regardless of control the setting is saved as, the dropdownlist always defaults to the first item in the list being selected. Therefore, if anyone edits the control for any reason, and the first item is not the correct control, it gets overwritten. Is there an easy way to fix this? Thanks in advance...

Hi Mark, Have you tried restarting the app (host settings)? If persistent, let me know the version nr and I'll try to replicate. Peter

I am currently using DNN 05.04.02 and DMX 5.02.06. I restarted the application. I have 5 user controls for display on the Short List addon. If I choose any of the controls after the first one under "Control to Load" and then re-edit the module, the pulldown just goes back to the first control in the list. If I update anything else, this will reset it to the first control instead of the one I chose.

thanks, I will try and harrass him. In the meantime I used Xmod Pro to build a document list instead which is our default tool for making custom lists for DMX data. Unfortunately there is nothing to do the job in DMX when you need complete control over the list. Xmod Pro is great for this. gus

Hi guys, Just uploaded 2.2.2 ShortList. Note it has a dependency on DMX 5.2.8 so don't install on an old DMX system. The latest release supports the root patterns like the main module does. Peter

thanks Peter that means we will have to upgrade DMX on that site the as we have an earlier version..
