We use DMX to archive payroll documents and so every single document in our module is restricted to an individual user account and the administrator.

When logged in as administrator I can see all documents. In permissions for the document I can see the name of the individual user who has read only access to the document.

When I log in as the individual user I cannot see some of the documents? We have tried deleting documents and reloading them and this seems to address the problem but then other documents become affected.

In addition the performance on the module for users other than the administrator has become really slow at around the same time as we started identifying problems with permissions. The only document on the page is the DMX module and for a non administrator user takes more than 2 minutes to open.

For the administrator the page opens in well under 30 seconds.

We tried adding indexes to the userroles and dmx_entries as suggested in another post on this forum but this did not seem to have any visible impact.

Should we try to rebuild the archive from scratch? or any other suggestions?

Hi Trevor,

You'll see an improvement in DMX 5.2.9 which addresses an issue affecting installations with massive amount of users and roles. We created a site here with 100K+ users and more than 1.5 million userroles and did begin to notice performance degredation. This was due to the bind to the active UserRoles view of DMX (which checks the dates as well). A different binding resolved that issue. I hope this addresses what you see as well.

This is good news. Any idea when you will release this version so that I can undertake the upgrade? or if I purchase the upgrade now, will you notify us when you do the release to get a fresh copy?
