Wrong page in "Show Direct Link"?

I have what I believe to be a bug (but could be expected behavior) with the Ajax UI. We have our default DMX instance on a page that is viewable to All Users. Content editors go to a different page with a different instance of DMX to upload and manage their content. When they want to get the direct link to their document, they right-click the document and select "Show Direct Link". Our problem is that this direct link contains a link to their specific INSTANCE of DMX (which isn't viewable to All Users). I would expect it to link to the Default DMX instance instead, but this is not the case. In the DMX.Config file, the DefaultDMXModuleID is set correctly. Do you know why other instances of DMX do not point to the Default DMX module when "Show Direct Link" is selected? Thanks! Jason

Hi Jason, Indeed. It's a bug/feature. I'll need to give this some thought as there are scenarios where you'd want the link to point to the current instance. I'll make a note to review this. Peter

I just also ran into this same feature/issue. I am looking-at doing the exact same thing and see this as being a challenge to teach the users to maintain their content on one page but go to a different page to obtain the link for posting.

OK, so you're saying the user should have an option to select either one, or to force the user to use one over the other? What would you like to see in this respect? Peter
