Hi

I'm finding that when backups are run using the Evotiva module I get the following errors:

>

  • Error adding file Portals\_default\DMX\Log\DMX-2010-08.log to zip file. Exception: The process cannot access the file 'D:\websites\caracas492\Portals\_default\DMX\Log\DMX-2010-08.log' because it is being used by another process.
  • Error adding file Portals\_default\DMX\Log\NOTIFICATION-2010-08.log to zip file. Exception: The process cannot access the file 'D:\websites\caracas492\Portals\_default\DMX\Log\NOTIFICATION-2010-08.log' because it is being used by another process.
  • Error adding file Portals\_default\DMX\Log\SYNC-2010-08.log to zip file. Exception: The process cannot access the file 'D:\websites\caracas492\Portals\_default\DMX\Log\SYNC-2010-08.log' because it is being used by another process.

Backup operations completed with errors. Check the backup log for details.

The backup runs fine when done manually. However due to the error being raised when schedule a retry is fired. Can stop the logging process or change the frequency so the backup and logging operations do not collide?

I see in the DNN schedule that DMX maintenance operations are running every five minutes. What do you suggest?

thanks

Gus

Hi Gus,

The log files are permanently open by the application, which is why the backup process can't grab them. You'll need to take it up with them. I suggest you get some exclusion mechanism to skip those files.

Hi Peter and thanks

for future reference you can configure Evotiva backup to exclude the "\Portals\_default\DMX\Log" or any other folder.
