Hi there!

I just upgraded our DMX 5.2.9 to 5.3.0.
The first start was a bit strange, I only saw the Menu bar of DMX (which was perfectly working, but without any graphics. Just (unformatted) text, nothing else.

Then I reinstalled DNNSupport 1.1.0 and DMX showed up as usual.
ALMOST.
All Filetypes we created (including some custom collection-types) didn't show their icons I associated to.
So I entered Admin -> Filetypes and after clicking on "Update" of ANY of our custom filetypes, they were gone.

So I tried to create them again.
Then after clicking on "update" and returning to DMX, the Icons of our filetypes still don't show and additionally I get the error message:

A critical error has occurred.
Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_intra_DMX_Extensions'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.intra_DMX_Extensions'. The statement has been terminated.

...What's going on here?
Thanks in advance!

BTW: It feels like DMX has got quite a huge boost in speed, is that right?

Hi Chris,

The speed boost is correct. The icons are related to this. You may want to check the Icon16 and Icon32 columns of the DMX_Extensions table and specifically the file types you added. It could be they were renamed to a class name that doesn't exist. So you'll need to fill them in correctly again (those two columns) with the path to the icons.

Background: all core file type icons are now in a single sprite and are found through a css class. This boosts performance. We can't do this on the fly so we can't do it for your custom file types. So the system is hybrid and will still pick up a path to an image if you specify one.

Maybe this also resolves the DMX_Extensions issue you had.

Hi Peter,

thanks a lot - that was it!
Yet, I'm still not able to see any filetype I manually added, but at least, they're there!
Also the DMX_Extension issue is gone.

But now I have another point:
Since the upgrade I'm not able to delete any Sync Folders :(
After clicking "Hard Delete" it takes several moments (feeling like two minutes) and then I get a popup stating "The data could not be loaded". Also the folder I wanted to delete is still there...

Any ideas on this?

Thanks again

Hi Chris,

I'll make a note of it and try to replicate.
