Downloading files doesn't work anymore

Hi!
I just upgraded from DMX 5.2.11 to 5.3.0 (DNN still 5.5.1). Installation didn't deliver any error.
I'm using the S storage provider.
When trying to download any file, I got the error: "file doesn't exist". The file name which is displayed in the modal box (Open... / Save ... / Cancel) doesn't show a valid file name but an hyperling which doesn't seem to be well formed.
Any idea?

Hi Alain,

Can you go and verify the settings and save them again? They are now saved to SQL in the DMX_Settings table.

I had the same problem whe testing it on our test machine.  The files are saved to d:\dmx_files\ but after the install it defaulted back to saving them under portals\[portalid].

Hi,

DMX prior to 5.3 stored its settings on disk. 5.3 stores them in the DB. In the upgrade is migration code to move all settings into the database (where they will remain in the future). I tested this several times and it worked. There is not much else I can do and I have no explanation for your cases. Upgrade code is extremely hard to debug because it only runs once and once only. I'll make a note to tell people "check your settings" after this upgrade.
