I'm testing out the DMX module using DNN Community Edition 05.05.01.  I created a sync folder and I wanted to test out dropping files into that folder manually (outside of DNN) and then seeing them appear in DMX after the sync task runs.  That appeared to be working correctly until I started looking thru some of the other menu items to see what the module had to offer.  When I clicked back on the sync folder, the folder now showed 2 of the same file item even though I never added the item again (it still only exists once in the real folder on my machine). I then repeated the process of going through menu items giving enough time for the schedule sync task to run and then going back to the sync folder....now 3 of the same items appear!

Does this issue sound familiar? Is there a setting I'm missing or is something else not set up correctly?

Sorry, forgot to mention that this only seems to happen when I've set the folder up for syncing AND approval of contents.  If I turn off the aprroval process on this folder, the syncing works fine.  I only get one copy of the original files that I dumped into my folder behind the scenes.  If I turn on Approvals, when a file gets dropped into the folder behind the scenes, DMX will check to see if it exists in DMX (which it doesn't), it'll add it to the approval process, BUT if the approving party hasn't approved it yet, then the next time the sync task runs it still doesn't see it in DMX and adds it again to the approving partys screen again....

Ok, upon further testing, it seems that the above issue is ONLY occuring when the Custom folder attribute for the Conflict Resolution is set to 'Source Folder Is Leading'.  When I set it to 'Copy Both Ways' everything is fine and the DMX works as expected.

I guess the only question remaining is why does having that setting set to 'Source Folder is Leading' cause DMX to add another entry into the DMX_Entries table when the file already exists in that table (note that the IsApproved column = 0 for that previous entry).

Hi Derek,

I'll make a note of this. We'll try to replicate and repair where necessary. It looks like the synchronization code ignores unapproved content.
