search not working

Hi

The search is not working on one of our sites. It's a DNN 4.9.x site with DMX 5.02.02.  It's set up with the default seach provider (lucene).

I'm not sure if it never worked since we moved the site to a dedicated server or if it has stopped working for some other reason.

Any ideas what might be going on or how I can drill down?

don't worry, I worked it out. Re-indexed and search is working again.

oh dear..

I ran the re-index on our dev server and it worked fine. Then I tried it on the live server and it failed with
abort thread error mentioned in another thread.

I think the live server has a later version of IIS on it.

What's the current status of this issue? Anyone find a solution? It might be that we have to accept it won't work until we upgrade DMX.

I realise now why the dev site worked. I upgraded that one to test the latest version of DMX! And in the new version the script is run in batches.

I guess that's the fix then..
