I am evaluating DMX with the 30 day trial and so far it is looking great.

I have configured the flexible root pattern so that it auto creates a folder using this token: [User:Username] and it is creating the folder correctly so that is good too.

However, ideally I would like it to: auto create a folder for the user with VIEW permissions for the user only and then auto create a subfolder called 'Uploads' with ADD permissions.

So each user ends up with a structure like

[user]

--> [Uploads]

I suspect I can't use flexible root pattern to achieve this but is there another straightforward configuration I could look at?

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

You can define the pattern to include a subfolder and it will attempt to create this. The settings to add XYZ permissions only concern the last folder in the chain (in this case "Upload"). What is not possible is to tune the permissions on the parent folder of this (the Username one) to include the view permission. I can't see an easy way out unless there is some 2 stage process where the user first lands on a page which creates the username folder and then a second page where the subfolder is created.

Best,

Peter
