 Hi,

I get an error when a page name has changed and I try and add a new folder using DMX 5.3.3 Pro.

The error is

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: The file '/Forms.aspx' does not exist. ---> System.Web.HttpException: The file '/Forms.aspx' does not exist. at System.Web.UI.Util.CheckVirtualFileExists(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile, Boolean throwIfNotFound, Boolean ensureIsUpToDate) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile, Boolean throwIfNotFound, Boolean ensureIsUpToDate) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVirtualPathObjectFactory(VirtualPath virtualPath, HttpContext context, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean throwIfNotFound) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath(VirtualPath virtualPath, Type requiredBaseType, HttpContext context, Boolean allowCrossApp) at System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory.GetHandlerHelper(HttpContext context, String requestType, VirtualPath virtualPath, String physicalPath) at System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory.GetHandler(HttpContext context, String requestType, String virtualPath, String path) at System.Web.HttpApplication.MaterializeHandlerExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() at System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

You can see that the page used to be called Forms but has been renamed to Administration.

I also note that when you install multiple instances of the module on a portal it displays the same information in each instance. I expected that you could install multiple instances of the module and have separate files in each.

Also if you delete the module and then reinstall the module the old files are still there. This should clean up the database.

Thanks

Stephan

Hi Stephan,

The first issue is a IIS/DNN issue related to url rewriting. It has nothing to do with DMX. If you're using a custom url rewriter check that. Otherwise check DNN forums on this.

The second issue is by design. Note I wrote a document called "getting started" where I explain this and how DMX is intended to be used. Let me know if that is not clear or brings up more questions.

Best,

Peter
